WEEKEND GRATITUDE: COUNT WHAT STILL REMAINS

We spend much of our lives chasing what we don’t have  the next goal, the next milestone, the next reason to finally feel content. But in that chase, we often overlook the blessings that quietly fill our lives every single day.

Gratitude isn’t about having everything. It’s about seeing everything you already have through the lens of appreciation. The roof that shelters you. The heart that still beats. The loved ones who check on you. The breath that continues to whisper Alhamdulillah even when life feels uncertain.

This weekend, slow down and take a moment to count what still remains — not what’s been lost, delayed, or denied. Because every blessing you acknowledge becomes a magnet for more. Allah says in the Qur’an:
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.” (Surah Ibrahim 14:7)

Gratitude isn’t only spoken  it’s lived. When you say Alhamdulillah for your health, care for it. When you say Alhamdulillah for your family, be gentle with them. When you say Alhamdulillah for your time, use it in goodness.

And even when life feels heavy, find the small reasons to be thankful  the light in your home, the peace in your prayer, the warmth of your bed. Because even the smallest blessings are signs that Allah has not forgotten you.

So this weekend, don’t rush through your rest. Sit with your blessings. Reflect, smile, and whisper from the heart
“Alhamdulillah for what remains.”

Because the moment you start counting what you still have, you’ll realise you’ve never truly been without.
