THE BEAUTY OF CONSISTENT GOOD DEEDS

In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to feel that only grand acts of worship matter. We often think we need to do something huge to gain Allah’s pleasure. But Islam reminds us that Allah values sincerity over size, and that small, consistent deeds are beloved to Him.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are few.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
This weekend, don’t underestimate the power of simple acts done with a sincere heart:
•Saying SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar throughout the day
•Giving a small amount in charity, even if it’s just a few naira
•Reading a few pages of Qur’an with reflection
•Smiling at someone, offering a kind word, or forgiving a wrong
•Making dua for others in their absence
These actions may seem small, but in Allah’s sight, they carry immense reward especially when done regularly. Your quiet remembrance on a Saturday afternoon, your heartfelt dua for someone, or your short time spent with the Qur’an might be the deed that tips the scale in your favor on the Day of Judgment.
This weekend, choose at least one small deed and make it a habit. Consistency is the key to spiritual growth.
