SAUDI MINISTRY OF HAJJ ANNOUNCES NEW PROCEDURES FOR PILGRIMS’ ACCOMMODATION APPROVAL

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced updated procedures for the licensing and approval of accommodation facilities for pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah ahead of the Hajj season 1447 AH.
According to the Ministry, all licenses for accommodation designated for pilgrims this year will be issued exclusively by the Ministry of Tourism.
Service providers who wish to qualify their facilities for leasing to pilgrims must now submit their requests through the “Nusuk Masar” platform. The platform serves as the official gateway for approvals, streamlining the process for accommodation providers and ensuring that all facilities meet the required standards.
The Ministry emphasized that this move aims to improve the quality of services offered to pilgrims, enhance transparency, and provide a unified digital process for approvals.
This announcement takes effect from Tuesday, 8 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 AH (September 30, 2025 AD).
