MUSWEN MOURNS LATE EKITI MONARCH AND FORMER POLITICIAN
The Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has mourned the deaths of two prominent Ekiti State figures the Alarà of Aramoko-Ekiti, Oba Abdul Azeez Olu Adeyemi, and veteran politician Remi Badmus.
In a statement signed by MUSWEN President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, and Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Prof Muslih Tayo Yahya, the organisation hailed their lifelong dedication to the Muslim community, their localities, and the broader society.
Oba Adeyemi, a former President of the Ekiti State Council for Islamic Affairs, was described as “a pillar of wisdom, peace, and unity in Aramoko and the entire Ekiti State,” whose reign was marked by selfless service and a steadfast commitment to communal development.
Badmus, who served as the Council’s former Deputy President, was remembered as “a distinguished retired secondary school principal and a committed advocate for the welfare of his constituents,” as well as “a beacon of integrity, compassion, and dedication whose life embodied service to humanity.”
MUSWEN extended heartfelt condolences to their families, the people of Aramoko, and the Muslim Ummah of Ekiti State, praying that Allah forgives their shortcomings, grants them Al-Jannah Firdaus, and gives their loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
