LAGOS EDUCATION DISTRICT VI HOSTS 21ST ANNUAL RAMADAN LECTURE

Lagos Education District VI held its 21st Annual Ramadan Lecture on Tuesday, bringing together key stakeholders in the education sector.

Themed “The Roles of Education Stakeholders in the Reformation of Our Society,” the event featured notable speakers, including the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of the District, Mrs. Mojisola Christiana Yusuff.

In her address, Mrs. Yusuff highlighted the importance of fostering unity and cohesion within schools and society during Ramadan. She urged stakeholders to offer prayers for themselves, Lagos State, and Nigeria.

Comrade Hassan Akintoye, the NUT State Chairman, underscored the collective responsibility in societal reform. He encouraged attendees to reflect on the values, ethics, and morals upheld by their respective religions.

Delivering the keynote lecture, Dr. Abdullahi Shuaib identified key education stakeholders, including students, teachers, principals, parents, and local businesses.

He emphasized the value of knowledge, the need for nurturing children’s independence, and the importance of collaboration to enhance student outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Shuaib called for increased government investment in education.

The event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, promoting collective efforts toward societal reformation through education.
