In the midst of the global Muslim search for Lailatul-Qadr, Imam IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation, together with Winnipeg Ta’alim Community, Canada, simultaneously distributed food to over two hundred fasting families in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, and Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, as part of the 1445 Ramadan Welfare Package.

Each family receives a Ramadan Welfare Package that includes rice, beans, semovita, tomato paste, and vegetable oil.

In Muflihun Schools, Ajibola Street, next to Alaafia Bread Bakery, Muslim-Mosfala Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, twenty-two (22) bags of rice, three (3) bags of beans, twenty-five (25) bags of semovita, ten (10) cartons of vegetable oil, and twelve (12) cartons of tomato paste were distributed.

Meanwhile, in Apalara, Adeta Road, Ilorin, in Kwara State, 8 bags of rice, 2 bags of beans, 8 bags of semovita, 8 packs of spaghetti, 7 cartons of groundnut oil, and 4 cartons of tin tomatoes were distributed.

Ustādh Rasheed Haashim, the director of the charitable organization, added that this is the third stage of the Ramadan Welfare Package for the current 1445 Ramadan.

He, however, highlighted that the current Ramadan Welfare Package would not have been possible without the substantial financial contributions from the Winnipeg Ta’alim Community, Canada.

He further expressed his heartfelt appreciation to members of Winnipeg Ta’alim Community, Canada for the trust reposed in the foundation. He prayed that Allah should continue enriching their pockets.

The director appreciated Ustādh AbdulKabeer Abdus-Salam (Abu Roqeebah), Malam Abdus-Samad Agbomeji and the Ilorin team, who successfully organised the welfare package in Ilorin, Kwara State, while also appreciating the Ibadan team for their enormous contributions to the success recorded during the welfare package.

He, however, appreciated the foundation’s board of trustees, monthly donors, and the foundation’s officials while also calling on wealthy people to support the foundation in all its charitable activities.

“Ustadh Haashim then urged wealthy people to support the foundation in all her charitable activities by donating generously to the foundation’s Jaiz Bank account number: 0011843672 or join the team of monthly donors. Those who wish to pay Zakat can as well transfer it to the foundation’s Jaiz Bank account above.

“He assured the donors and Zakat payers of judicious use of their donations, as the motto of the foundation still remains: “Caring for the less privileged with fear of Allah, it added.”
